Founded on January 17, 2008, City of God is a group blog started by Keith, Dan, and Andrew. Keith wondered if bloggers, like the robotic lions of Voltron, could be even stronger if combined on a group blog. Keith asked Andrew and he agreed that a group blog would be a good idea. Dan, on the other hand, simply heard “Voltron” and wanted to be involved. As the blog continues to grow, we intend to invite more authors. A final note: the authors of this blog have a variety of backgrounds and a variety of points of view – this is not going to be an echo chamber. City of God is an attempt at dialogue on a broad range of topics that might loosely be grouped under the terms religion and culture – at least that’s our intent as of right now (early 2008). It probably goes without saying, but the views expressed here are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the authors’ employers, academic institutions, or churches. Comment Policy

We generally try to keep the comments section as wide-open as follows, and so far, this hasn’t given us much trouble. All we ask is that everyone keep a respectful attitude towards each other. We’ve been able to get quite a wide variety of interlocutors in our comments and we’re richer for it.
