    Regarding Hayek and Girard, it would seem that some new Calvinist could explore how those divergent views of humanity may be expressions of an over-emphasis on natural verses representative/federal headship. ;-) I promise it won’t be me, though.

    Somehow No Country reminds me of John Gray’s book Straw Dogs where his thesis is that our material progress had not really resulted in moral progress, that progress was the humanist ghost image of Christianity’s promise of a new heaven and a new earth.
